License Activation

WINDOWS 7 AND WINDOWS VISTA USERS: TURN OFF USER ACCOUNT CONTROL (UAC)
User Account Control (UAC) must be turned off *while* logged in as Administrator. The simple steps to turn off UAC are here:

INSTALL SOFTWARE AND *REBOOT*
Make sure to reboot *before* attempting to activate.

DISABLE FIREWALL SOFTWARE
Make sure you are not behind a firewall until you are activated.

CONNECT TO THE INTERNET
You must be online (connected to the internet) before activating your license.

PASTE RED ACTIVATION TEXT AT THE BOTTOM OF YOUR EMAIL INTO WORDPAD

Once rebooted, start the program. You will see an activation screen shown in Step 8 below. Find the red text in your license email and paste it into Wordpad.

Activation is assured if you use Wordpad rather than your e-mail browser or any other editor.

Cut and Paste (Mark activation text, right-click mouse button, Copy, switch to WordPad, Click Edit on the menu, Paste).

Make sure you use WordPAD - NOT Notepad or any other editor.

Arrange your screen so that you can view at least part of the Activation window and ALL of the Activation code in Wordpad at the same time.

HIGHLIGHT, DRAG AND DROP ACTIVATION CODE ONTO ACTIVATION SCREEN.
With your mouse, highlight the RED Activation code (at the bottom of your email) from the <Activation> tag to the </Activation> tag, INCLUDING both <Activation> and </Activation> (start and include the < in <Activation> and end and include the > in </Activation>)

Once highlighted, hold left mouse button down on top of the highlighted text. Making sure that ALL of the text remains highlighted, drag over to anywhere in the Activation window as shown below:

Release the left mouse button. All of the Activation field windows should procede automatically. If this does not occur, carefully repeat the above procedure.

IMPORTANT: Don't forget to restart your firewall software when you see the message above. You may also want to turn UAC back on (however we think its a nuisance).
