Activation |
You were sent an e-mail with license activation instructions
when you purchased Imagener. READ THE ENTIRE E-MAIL OR THIS PAGE before
attempting to activate your license of Imagener.

USING WINDOWS VISTA?
If you are using Windows Vista something called "User Account Control" or UAC must be turned off and you must be logged in as Administrator *before* installation and activation ... then you should be able to automatically activate.

FOR WINDOWS VISTA USERS ONLY (skip to #2 below if you are not using the new Microsoft Windows Vista operating system) If you do not know, if there is a "Start" button in the lower left corner of the page, go to step #2.
If you are trying to activate either Imagener or YottaPrint under Windows Vista, you must turn off User Account Control (UAC). This is only necessary for a brief moment during activation and you can turn it back on afterwards and both Imagener and YottaPrint will work fine. IF YOU DO NOT KNOW HOW TO DO THIS please follow the instructions beginning on this page: http://www.imagener.com/vista.

YOU MUST BE ONLINE (CONNECTED

If you are on a dialup connection when you activate your license, please
wait for confirmation connection when you activate your license, please

MAKE SURE YOU ARE NOT BEHIND
A FIREWALL.
If you are running firewall software, disable it until you are activated. You can turn it back on afterward.

START WORDPAD
It is possible to activate
from many e-mail browsers, but some do not work.
The BEST WAY to activate is to use Wordpad.

ALL WINDOWS COMPUTERS
HAVE WORDPAD.
DO NOT USE NOTEPAD FOR THIS STEP.
To
start WordPad, use the following procedure:
- Windows Vista: Click the Circle in the lower left corner (the new start button), All Programs, Accessories, WordPad
- Windows XP: Start, All Programs, Accessories, WordPad
- Windows 95/98/NT/Me/2000: Start, Programs, Accessories,
WordPad

COPY and PASTE
ACTIVATION TEXT INTO WORDPAD -
the text at the bottom of the e-mail you
were sent. Mark the activation text as shown to the right —notice
the RED
ARROW --
this is exactly how much of the activation code to mark.
Then click the RIGHT MOUSE BUTTON and select 'Copy'.
NOTE: Your e-mail may appear slightly different than the one shown
at the right but the code to highlight is the same. |

SHOW ACTIVATION CODE AND ACTIVATION WINDOW ON SCREEN
AT THE SAME TIME. Arrange your screen so that you can view at least part of the
Activation window and ALL of the Activation code at the same time on your
screen.
HIGHLIGHT, DRAG AND DROP ACTIVATION CODE
ONTO ACTIVATION SCREEN. With
your mouse, highlight all of the Activation code from the <Activation> tag
to the </Activation> tag, INCLUDING both <Activation> and </Activation> (start
and include the < in <Activation> and
end and include the > in </Activation>).
Once all the Activation code is highlighted, holding down the left mouse
button on top of the highlighted text (making sure that ALL of the text
remains highlighted) drag over to anywhere in the Activation window. The
cursor should change as shown below: 
Release the mouse button.

Release the left mouse button. All of the Activation field
windows should procede automatically. You will see the following window:
