Imagener was created to expand the options and uses of digital images. One major use is to pull a new picture out of an existing one – to find the image of subjects or elements that may be hiding within the overall scene. Details within images that even the most trained observer would miss can be given a life of its own through enlargement.

An extension of this is to actually think about enlargement whenever you are going through your digital image library, or even during picture taking. Observe patterns within your field of view that seem isolated or that do not stand out and would normally be missed because they are part of the background detail of an image with a dominant subject. Another way to think about how enlargement can add value to your images is to look for strong main elements, then focus your attention on the detail that is not the main element looking for specifics that are in contrast with the main element or subject of the photo. These contrasting patterns in subject matter can give you new, exciting pictures.
